Xmodmap windows key modifier

Include Italian accents I'm studying Italian. Organize bindings largely in the same way the Macintosh does it, with a shift and an option key, and bindings in more or less the same place. To some degree I'm restricted by Nokia's poor fonts and not able to provide all the bindings I'd like.

Include page up, page down, home, and end, but not in the standard Mac cursor location -- put them somewhere more useful I use F10, F11, F12, and Eject. Include bullets and arrows. Here's the file. Because so many Nokia applications have ctl-x for cut, etc. This helps Mac people used to typing Command-x etc. Right Command has been mapped to the "Compose" key, which ordinarily would allow you to create all sorts of characters see here.

Sadly, Nokia appears to not support this, so it's presently a dead key until I decide what to do with it. I have no idea how to test it on xmodmap JacobVlijm. I'm trying to find how to map a key to reproduce a key combination. JacobVlijm I know that this feature is possible because when I use universal access to use keypad to control the mouse, "5" simulates left-click on all its aspects — Vitor Abella. I am afraid you are misunderstanding, if you call a ke by another key, you are actually virtually pressing both the real one and the one you call.

It depends on if the combination isn't disabling the latter. Very well possible it worked with 5. JacobVlijm I already solved the problem as you can see in my answer. When I said it was possible to do, I meant that if someone made 5 to work as left-click, I can make F2.

The only ideas I had where: Trying different set keyboard layouts Buying a new custom keyboard with better mappings Software that codes its own hotkeys Actiona or Key Mapper and try to replace mod keys with something else Contact Microsoft support and let them know xmodmap doesn't work at all.

Sorry for the late reply. Thank you for the suggestion, but on my environment Windows 11, WSL2 fresh install , it was pretty catastrophic. The keyboard output was completely unpredictable. It's a shame because it felt close to being a great product, but enough went wrong for me to go back to pure linux. Thanks for reaching out though. You are receiving this because you commented.
